Stage Designer 50 Help

I just bought some Chauvet ColorStrip mini's and a Stage Designer 50... I've been playing with the thing for a few days, and reading the directions over and over and over and over... and still can't get the stupid thing to work.

When I assign a light to a fader, all I can do is get it to flash one every 10 seconds or so, and I'm not sure what i'm doing.

All I want it to do is let me me run some of the pre-programmed banks in the lights and maybe adjust the speed and brightness.

Any Help and or advice is greatly appreciated...

Yes I'm using dmx cables and a terminator... even at one light still can't get it to function, then again I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like when it's functioning properly... I'm a measley guitar player
