IMAG with a TVOne 1T-C2-250

I'm hoping someone can help us. We have a media computer running SongShow Plus to a 1T-C2-250. We also have a MX-1 sending a video mix to the S-video in of the 1T-C2-250.

Sometimes we want to turn the background in SSP to black, then key the black out on the 1T-C2-250 so the words overlay the video. I thought this could be done with the 250, but I cannot get it to key with the vga input as the source.

Anyone with experience with the 250?

Yes the 250 can do this.

Are you getting it to key at all? The menu system is a little strange but it does work. The manual has a nice step by step procedure for selecting the keying parameters.

Thanks for the response. I have uses the step by step in the manual, but where it tells me to select the source that will be the foreground, I select the rgb1 input and it switches to that source but the menu disappears.
The OSD doesn't show when the rgb source is up on the screen, so I can't key it out. I must be missing something.

Solution

The manual didn't say anything about the mix/pip being active when you set up the keyer. I'm sure it does someplace else in the manual but I just went right to the part of the manual that described how to set up for keying.

I tried the mix/pip button at one time, but the refresh rate of the computer needed to be changed so the mix could lock, otherwise it drops the signal and all you get is a blank screen so the menu won't display. All this will only make sense to someone trying to set up this particular device, but since I searched the forums and couldn't find anything...hopefully this will help someone else someday.

As I look back on it, it was kind of a "doh" moment.
