Projection - IMAG

So I looked and didn't see much discussion about projectors used with IMAG. I'm wanting to build a proposal to upgrade our projection as what we currently have is: 1) too dim, 2) very inaccurate with colors.

These are my main two objectives. To find projectors that are brighter than 3000lumens, have good accurate color reproduction (not perfect but good), and cost less than about $3k. I'm looking for recommendations and opinions on brands and types (LCD vs DLP). The reason I ask for this is because I value y'alls opinions and would like to here what media guys in church shoes have experienced.

Personally, I prefer LCD because of (seemingly) better color rendition, and no spinning wheel DLp rainbow issues. But I'd love to hear anyone roses thoughts on this specifically too.

Thanks!

Did some looking at projectors, found this one: ViewSonic Pro8450w
DLP, but good price and 4500 lumen. I've used Viewsonic projectors before and had a good experience with their image quality. Thoughts?

I looked at a few Sharp projectors as I've had good experience with them as well.
Sharp PG-D40W3D - DLP. Meh.
Sharp XG-C455W - LCD, but only a 500:1 contrast ratio. More expensive.

Are Sanyo projectors any good?

I have been very pleased with our 4000-lumen Hitachi CP-WX625 projectors. We have four in our sanctuary and two in our Children's church. B&H currently lists them at $2,499/ea.

Sanyo projectors are excellent. They are my most trusted brand. Basically Christie OEM components with different glass. Excellent units and support. They are always my #1 recommendation. Also reasonably priced. I have more Sanyo's installed than any other brand. If you are not going to buy Christie go with Sanyo.
