| Problems with FCP studio 6 First problem I had was with upgrading to Snow Leopard, it deleted my Mpeg2 encoder files for QuickTime. I found after the fact that the new OS will do this, the fix was to reinstall FCP or on install use the optional install button to prevent the deletion. So I had to re-install FCP....BUT now the master templates won't install - otherwise FCP works great. There are fragments of info on the web referring to not putting FCP in the root drive but that is the only place the install allows? anyone else have a similar problem if so what is the best fix? |

| Lots views and no helpers. Maybe it's just me and my ol' windows ways. Here is what I had to do. Fresh install of Mac OS X Leopard and the re-install FCP 6. All the templates showed up just like the original install. I had tried several re-installs of FCP 6 in Snow Leopard but they would not show up. Going to do a Time Machine back up before I load anything else., so I can always get back to this point. Then I'm going to download the updates for FCP 6 and OS X without installing Snow Leopard. |
