Still getting used to the MAC -

I'm still getting used to it but I'm starting to really like my MAC Book.
I'm upgrading the hard drive to 500 gigs so I can daul boot windows, I have just a couple of programs that are windows only that I really like and don't want to spend the money (or time) to find a MAC replacement.
My experience is (from watching others) that windows runs better on the MAC hardware anyway.
Anyway mwave had a 500 gig drive on sale for $119, I bought an external dock for $15 so I just need to put the new drive in the USB dock - copy everything over with the MAC disk utilities and then put the new drive in.
I'll use the MAC boot camp program to install windows and "VIOLA!"
I'm good to go for whatever I need to do.
I'm even going to keep my eye out (and save my pennies) to get me a MAC mini for my desktop at home.
Gotta love it.

Check the Apple Store every morning for refurbished Mac Mini's. They've been going for $499 the last couple of weeks (but sell out VERY quickly!)

As for Bootcamp, I don't personally use it.
I started with a free copy of CrossOver which wraps the Windows application in WINE. Worked for what I needed.
I now have Parallels so I can use XP-Pro at the same time as my MacOS.

I second that. Parallels eliminates the need to dual-boot and lets you run Windows programs right inside the Mac OS. Nifty!

I ended up making a bootcamp partition so that I can run windows games but then I can use VMWare to use my bootcamp partition as a virtual machine when I don't want to reboot. This way I have the best of both world. I'm sure parallels can do the same thing.

I think I have an XP virtual program -
I got the Seagate drive yesterday and put it in, I'm going to try and install windows tonight when I get home. I may go with 7 as I can get that for a good price right now.
