Now my Mac is acting very strange. The other night it shut down for no reason. Sometimes it gets hot and sounds like bacon frying, it tried to eat a cd, and it also corrupted some files. It was fine until I updated it Tuesday night. My dad thinks it may have a virus. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Crackling like bacon isn't a good sound for a computer to make. It sounds like a bad power supply or battery. Was your battery part of this recall?

Every time they had a recall I checked my battery. It did not match up with any of the numbers.
