| I have tried many times to get some idea of the costs of some LED house lights, Bit despite 3 seperate e mails to AFFINEON I have yet to receive the info I want, So despite Affineon being touted by many as the best, There service leaves a lot to be desired ! So I think I will source from the many others on the market, And there are lots, the more I look the more I find. |

| Affineon is only a manufacturer, they are not in sales. If you go through a dealer you will get pricing ASAP. I should know. Their service is amazing and their product is the best on the market.

| Mike, Have you installed any of the Affineons? I'm still looking at options. We're now looking to upgrade our sanctuary sometime in the next year & I want to make the move to LED house lights. I would love to hear how your installs have gone & also talk with some of the tech people at those churches. |

| See above. I have tested them, I have demoed them, but so far no one has come up with the money so that I can install them. I have seen installations and after seeing the unit I know how easy they are to install, but have not had a church commit the funds to actually purchase them yet.

| They run between $2k-$3.5k each I believe I quoted the HB4000 at $3k each recently. I do not know of any dealers in Australia. Mike

| I am heading up a project to replace our existing tungsten house light fixtures with Affineon LED DL fixtures. I thought I'd share some of our experience with the project. We have 88 fixtures that were installed in the early 80s. Unfortunately, due to the age of the fixtures, they are burning out sockets, bulbs, thermo couplers, etc and we have decided it is time to do an upgrade as maintenance costs are adding up. I wanted us to go with an LED option as the energy savings and lack of maintenance would be huge for us. The house lights are on around 60 hours a week, burning around 30kw/hour. With the switchover to the Affineon fixtures, our usage will drop to 54 fixtures using 5200 watts/hour. This project has been in the works for nearly a year. This included having a lighting designer figure out proper placement, fixture type, intensity and resulting foot candles in each area of the room. Since our house lights and theatrical fixtures share the same dimmer racks, which were controlled by a single "panic" button, the plan to upgrade to LED house fixtures then required us to upgrade our wall switches to a system that allowed DMX scene presets (ETC Paradigm), which then forced us to have to upgrade our strand dimmer racks as well (ETC Sensor 3). This unfortunately meant that the total project cost was going to be much higher than a simple fixture replacement. We finally have the design hammered out and approval for purchase and anticipate the installation starting after Easter. I am happy with the light output of the affineons, I was not happy with the dimming curve on the low and high end. 0-20% is off to on, then it dims decent from 20-80%. Much past 80% there is no visible difference, although a light meter does detect additional intensity. (This allegedly will be addressed in the release of fixtures we are purchasing) I do like that there is no color shift in the light in the dimming curve, the reduction in power costs, and reduction in heat load to the HVAC. We anticipating a savings of around $9k/year in just power. |

| How odd Andrew, the Affineon DL fixtures that I demo have no drop off in the dimming curve even from 1%-0% it is just as smooth as an incandescent fixture. If it had that fall off I would have gone with a CWWW IP65 rated LED PAR and saved $1000+ per fixture. Mike

| I suspect the demo unit the regional sales rep had was an older release that did not have the updated DMX board in it. I have requested they bring an updated model on-site for us to demo for a few days before we ink the contract. I figure I'll have less negotiating power once the contract is signed. |
