Sanctuary lighting II

We are still working on our new building.

In our sanctuary we will be having 4 columns. Two on each side of the
seating area. We want to put wall sconces on the columns.

The outlet is in place .
I am finding it hard to find the fixture I am looking for.

Wall Sconce.
8-10 inches wide
24-30 inches tall.
We could use two. One shining up one shining down.

Something in a contemporary look. Metallic ??

Here is the tricky part.
DMX LED. Is there a company selling LED DMX controlled fixtures of
which i speak.

Small LED and hide behind piece of metal/fabric/wood???

Thinking it would be kewl to be able to change color on the columns.

Does it have to be a "sconce" or can it be an LED unit that you can put some sort of custom fabricated metal over to make it appear as a "sconce"?

I had an install that wanted to do the same thing, so I used the Weidmark 252 LED wash unit (measures 18.11"x7.8"x4.9") and made a custom cover out of brushed aluminum. I don't have a picture on me, but I am about to do the same thing again in about a month.

You can check out the unit here they are very reasonable, but if they are too pricey you can look at the 1W ColorKey LED PAR here not quite as bright, but $50 cheaper per unit.

Small led based lights based on the old pin spots, are commonly available
and only about 100 dollars (australian). just paint them any color you like.

Let me know if you need a hook up on the Weidamark or ColorKey units Billy.

Wireless DMX can get expensive. Depends on it you might have interference.

Is the wiring already in place? Can you pull another wire? Wireless DMX is going to be pretty expensive for 4 locations to run 2 lights per drop. If you can get a wire to an LED fixture even if you just run one DMX wire and terminate at each point with a spllter/combiner bringing them together will give you stable control at a low price.

Tim.

Thanks man, my monitor is old and doesn't render small text very well... Your post in all caps really capitalized on my CPU's resolution settings.

Where is the "thumbs up X 1000" icon?

I like Esotetric's idea... a little expensive but it would look really cool...

I would like to see a picture of those LED's with the custom facades.
