OLED! Wow! I learned something new! I'm sure that when the first LED was invented nobody thought that it would be used so many ways for so many things.

In fact the LED was an unexpected discovery back in the 1920's but like with many inventions/technologies, they sit on the shelf for a long time before someone figures out what to do with it. This just goes to show you how much we can do with the things that we already have and the untapped potential that lies within it.

It's just a matter of time until OLED completely shuts down the manufacture and sale of LCD and plasma. Once the size goes up and the cost comes down (and with the manufacturing process being simpler, it will), OLED will the standard, at least until something more dramatically awesome comes along.
