After we transitioned to IEMs, and all amps were banished from our zip code, I spent several hundred dollars trying to get a sound that suited me. I had a Zoom G2.1u that I started with, but missed the tubes on the pre. I bought a Damage Control Womanizer that was absolutely fantastic, but as unreliable as a politician's promise. My board now looks something like this:
