Question How do I begin to create my own backgrounds?

I know its probably been asked more than once before but I've searched and can't seem to find any, so if you can link me to the threads that would be great. How do you go about learning to make your own backgrounds? I've seen some amazing ones here (THANKS AND GOD BLESS you all) and would like to create and contribute my own.

I use Adpbe Photoshop for stills (just make sure any images you put together are your own or are free use) and Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects for moving backgrounds. There are tons of free tutorials out there on all those programs, just Google.

Check out some of the Tutorials and see if that gets you started.

Midnight Oil Productions also has some free tutorials (scroll down). you just have to register (free) on their site.

If there is something specific I want to do, I usually just use Google, e.g. Photoshop Tutorial flames

If you don't want to invest a lot of money, check out www.aviary.com or www.gimpshop.com for free solutions. Or look into Adobe Photoshop Elements for a low cost option.

Besides the tutorials Joel listed, you can also ask people here on CMN how they created specific graphics you've seen in the MXC. Assuming they're still around, of course
