Logo Creation Software

Hello,
I am looking for some software that I can use to create logos. Currently, I'm using Gimp, but I don't understand all the features of it. I know that Photoshop is the best, but it's a little too pricy for now. I eventually want to be able to purchase it, but there's a long list of things that need to be upgraded before that. So, what is a relatively cheap logo creation software?

If you want to create a logo, you want something that lets you create a vector-based drawing so it can be resized as needed. While you can do that with Photoshop (with a shape layer), it's more what Adobe Illustrator is designed for. A free program that lets you do some of the same things is Inkscape.

Neither programs are for "logo creation" it just happens to be something they can do. You might be best served by doing a google search on Logo Creation Software.
