What are YOU doing for Easter Graphics?

So, what are you working on for Easter?

I just posted this concept work for Pastor's OK - he decided yesterday to go a completely different direction for Easter and the other graphics I was going to recycle just didn't cut it.

deb (I missed you guys the last couple years while I have been up to my eyeballs in work.)

Now, show me what you're doing!

Disclaimer: This isn't finished yet ... hey, he still might hate it, I'm putting no more time into it until I know it's going to be used.

Great work Deb!

We are running a series titled "47 Days: becoming a follower of Jesus Christ". I grabbed this file from New Life Church:

(Of course: click on each slide to see full size version.)

I edited their file to reflect the title of our series along with a few other changes (for example I masked the "sunrise" so now it does not show on top of the grass):

Title Slide

Blank (Background) Slide

But I wasn't sure if I wanted the grunge on or off. I liked it both ways, with the grunge and without the grunge. I talked to someone on staff and they said "Why not use the grunge up to Easter and use the clean version for Easter? That way they won't know directly what is different but something will just feel cleaner." I LOVED the idea so that is what we are doing!

We are doing the Ashes to Fire series so we are just using the media that it comes with.

I will echo Joel. Tired of dragging others along where they don't want to go but still expect something special to take place.

This year there is an excuse, but it's going to make it even tighter than normal.

Our Senior Pastor is on a 4 week sabbatical and will be back a few weeks before Easter. So he will be preaching that weekend. But we have no idea what direction he wants to go until he gets back.

Here's my final version ... Pastor just moved everything up a week today; he's going with this new series THIS SUNDAY ... through Easter.

I'm ever so glad I had a wee head start! ieeeee!!!

I started this with the Romance background from from Seeds at Church on the Move ... grunged it up, added the Cross, the palm and the text. Now I'm working like a crazy person on the rest of the supporting slides for all the screens for Sunday and re-styling the printed program. I have a feeling this won't be a 4 day work week.

New font ... Scriptina ... gave it just the painterly flourish I wanted without looking like a sissified script font.

If it weren't for deadlines .... there'd never be a FINAL version

Church on the Move is very cool about sharing their original resource materials. I figured everyone knew about them!
