I'm Stumped

I am designing this layout for a advertisement in a local paper for a special insert they are doing for the Snowbirds that come down to Central Florida for the winter. I have gotten this far and now have creative block. Any Suggestions?

I think you have a good start. I really like that you haven't tried to overload it with too much text. The orange and teal make me think of Florida.

Here's the tweaks I would try.

I'd change 8 AM to 8:00 AM to make the times more consistent.

I'd reduce the number of fonts.

I'm not sure what I'd do with Welcome Home. But I'm not wild about the outline font or the alighnment. Maybe a highway exit sign or something?

I'd take an interesting part of the bridge and blow it up in a lighter gray and put it in the background, to add texture.

Also, you could consider making the main bridge outline the teal color and the backgorund either a lighter teal or the orange (but faded).

That's what I'd try next, anyway.

Hope that gives you some direction.

Try posting it to the Church Marketing Lab on Flickr. I have found them to be quite helpful.

I do like that better.

I would take one of the w's out of the web site address.

If you have a picture of people in front of your church, it would make it more human, more welcoming.

And I would probably center the service times, rather than left justify them.

Or, to make it more graphic, you could have three clock faces (across) with the three times and the "digital" time underneath. Just a thought.

But I think a picture with people, if available, would be the biggest upgrade.
