I am pretty certain this was handlettered for the drink...

Something that doesn't look like it totally but would give you the same “feeling” if that is all you need for your project would be Rory by Linotype.

You can see a sample here or you can download an eps file of the gatorade logo here.

Definitely a tweaked font for the logo. But another font (free, too!) that's got a similar feel is the SI Font, which you can find here (search for 'Sports Illustrated' on that page, it's down near the bottom.)

I skewed and rotated this to get a similar angle of oblique and of the baseline. Not perfect, but gives a lot of the feel for not too much work.

Ok guys. Here's a first go, let me know what you think.

I thought maybe a dash in between as well "God-ade", but I'll have to play around a little more and see what I come up with.

In terms of capturing the feel, it does a pretty good job. The text should be even more obliqued (you can oblique text layers in Photoshop and still have them editable), and the shadow outline on the text more like that on the lightning bolt, but it gets the feel as it is.

What's it for? I could see a "Holy Spirit -- is it in you?" kind of Gatorade parody, but this seems a bit more like just spoofing the logo for it's recognizability. Maybe if the text were "God-aid" or even "God's aid" it would help, but the "ade" part doesn't fit that well.

Yeah, I think that's the direction i'm going to take. Showed the wife and the whole "Godade" thing didn't click. Will try a few more variations on it though.

It's for a sermon based on Isaiah 40, where we're asking, "Is it in you?"
