Overall, I think the execution is good. If the metaphor worked for the service, then that's great.

I usually will put the sermon title on the blank slide, in one of the lower corners, smaller. In this case, I probably would have made the earth/sword smaller also, leaving more room to work with.

But those are just stylistic choices.
