I like the 2nd one better for a background. The objects aren't as prominent and they aren't as bright.

I like the second one as well. It has more texture.

#2 also - but #1 is a nice lead in to it.

I'll be different and say #1. I do like it better.

But do you have something where it starts with "In the beginning..."? The preceding text were a bit distracting.

Well, I think I really need to just try and move down the text. I just took a pic. I had of Bible pages, and superimposed it on the pic. of the earth. I didn't do any moving around. I was thinking about off-centering the earth, so the words could more easily be seen, and putting my text off-center, as well. Any text I would put on it would be different enough and big enough to read. Do you think the text on the background would be that distracting from any text I would put on it?

I like the first one. But I would probably blur the Bible layer.

It really depends on if your projector can handle putting words over an image like that.

Well, I did put some text over them. The existing text on the background does tend to be distracting. However, I think if I use it just as a picture insert, and don't make it the actual background, that it might still work in a PP presentation.

Definitely.

I would strongly consider using it as is as a stand alone graphic and then blurring the whole thing a bit to put text over it.
