Logo feedback

I've been meaning to get this going for over a year now, but finally made time to hash it out. Finally have a product to "sell" and need business ID to do so. Settling on a good logo was first order, and it seems I've been churning out a bunch for church lately so... It looks pretty cool in reverse too!

I love the basic look (truck bumper?), but what are the bumps along the top edge? They add some interest, but they're also a little distracting because of the randomness.

I think it's supposed to be an ironclad warship - possibly a submarine.

That brings up what my first response is, which is that it's a little too abstract and perhaps a little too requiring of historical knowledge.

I like the general look, but I might work on making the silhouette a little clearer.

Looks like a submarine to me.

I don't know if that's good or bad.

Couldya just use large text and put some rivets in it?

I agree with the submarine comments.

When I think of "ironclad," I think of armor, diamond plate, a safe/lockbox, knights or legionnaires.

It doesn't really evoke the USS Monitor for me, probably because of the 'guns' in both directions, and the upsweep and knobs at both ends. My first thought was truck bumper, followed by "what are those bumps?". YMMV

I like it perfectly as it is... sure it is abstract and not precise, but I like that.

I think I like it.
It reminds me of the old iron clad gunboats, Civil War era.
The Iron Clad font bothers me a little, feels to much like a "school or athletic" font, if you know what I mean.
I would suggest something that relates better to your image or a modern font that fits the one you used for "multimedia"
Just a thought
Good work

I saw that, too, with the little one.

When I clicked and saw the bigger one is when it looked submarinish to me.

It was actually modeled off of the Monitor, with some variations for balance & interest -- it's a rather dull profile otherwise.

I might try the flag masts back on at each end.
