Hands down -- SundayPlus
I am about as an avid user and promoter of SundayPlus as Karen is of her favorite software, and for most of the same reasons! The ease of use, the tech support, and let's not forget the outstanding user's forum (I even get some good ideas from Mark Finley).

fan here also-though my volunteers decided they wanted the ppt integration of EW. Oh well-we still have some of the musicians using opensong just for the chord sheet capabilities. I think I may have created a monster though-now some of them are coming up to some of the media team, and saying-"wow-that's just like what I use at home, just harder!" You had to be there-this was from one of the least tech savvy guys on the planet.

Still stuck with PowerPoint. They have mentioned new Computers and Media Shout, but that is not in the budget for now. Maybe when we are finished with our building project.

We use PowerPoint XP in our church, and I dislike the fact that you cannot see the upcoming slide and have to print out a copy of the slides to flip through as I go along. Also we have been looking to have moving backgrounds behind our song lyrics and something new is definately in order. I hope that I can try out some of these programs to get an idea of their values. Right now I have an evaluation copy of Media Shout and am preparing myself to learn it. Do any of the others offer evaluation versions as well?
Steve

We use Powerpoint XP but I have had Media Shout for a while and I am trying to ween everyone from powerpoint into Media Shout. I know that we can import PP slides into Media Shout without the transitions but no one has yet to be adventuresome accept for me.

You can see the upcoming slide if you use two monitors (dual head video card) and set up the show to play on the monitor that goes out to your projector and put it in the presenter view by changing your options in slide show>Set Up Show menu.

So far I am the lone user of Song Screen... We are still using V6pro and it has been very faithful... However we are looking at a couple options including Easy Worship and the new Song Screen Liquid... The number one thing that Song Screen has that I do not want to loose is being able to tap the line number on the numeric keypad and boom it is up... no mousing or scrolling...

The one big negative I have experienced with Song Screen is in trying to contact them with some issues that have taken place with the demo version I can not get anyone to respond for tech support... If a company can't or won't tech support something while you are evaluating it how can you expect to get tech support if you buy it???

So that is my take on the good and bad of Song Screen...

Yes, we had done it like that for a time, I changed it back though, the problem was, that the upcoming slide would be out of view at the bottom of the screen and the only way to see it was to deselect the show, and select the powerpoint and drag the bar back up so that the selected slide was at the top again... and if you did not reselect the Show, then nothing would happen until you did. It just seems sloppy to me.

And thanks for the links, I will be checking them out. I don't want to jump into one that I don't like because it will drive me bananas, like PowerPoint does now

Thanks
Steve

Easy worship does that too. You just type the slide number and hit enter.
I believe most of them will in some way shape or form
