Smile Song Screen Liquid

has anybody ever heard of or used Song Screen Liquid? i discovered it on the internet the other day after seeing it listed in the Digital juice magazine. it looks absolutely incredible and it is available for mac and pc. the demo version i downloaded has more options than i have ever seen in a program. i was just wondering if this is too good to be true or if this is a really good thing.

Here you go!

At $575 it seems very expensive, plus look at the system requirements...

Quote:
Recommended System Requirements

Windows
IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 Processor (or equivalent) supporting Hyper - Threading Technology
Windows XP Professional or newer
1 GB of physical RAM or better
2 GB of free space on a 7200 RPM hard drive
nVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra
1024x768 or better monitor resolution on primary monitor
Second monitor output capable of 640x480 resolution for display
CD-ROM or DVD drive

We tested a Dell Dimension 4600 with the following configuration:

2.8 GHz Pentium 4 processor with HT

1 GB Dual Channel DDR SDRAM

160 GB Serial ATA HD

GeForce FX 5200 video card

SongScreen Liquid ran great! Dissolves from screen to screen and from motion background to motion background was smooth and effortless. We bought this system for under $800.00 without monitors directly from Dell. Highly recommended.

Mac
Dual 1Ghz G4 or better computer
Mac OS X (10.2+)
1 GB of physical RAM
2 GB of free space on a 7200 RPM hard drive
1024x768 or better monitor resolution on primary monitor
Second monitor output capable of 640x480 resolution for display
CD-ROM or DVD drive

Exclamation

The url is http://www.ibs.org/songscreen/

My church uses Song Screen Version 6, and we qualify for a reduced-price upgrade (as well as does anyone else who has version 6 or later), we need to get a new machine before we get the new software though. They offer a demo version on the site, try it out, I personally like song screen as a whole, and song screen liquid seems way awesome (the one thing that I haven't done yet is tested it out on a projector yet - the main use that it is for), but yeah - those system requirements do seem a little off, because I ran it (not with a projector, but just ran it and used it), on a 1.2 ghz celeron, 512 ram, and it ran excellent - no lag or anything, so yeah, I would reccomend song screen to any church that has a budget for it.

and in response to the reply that was posted just before my reply, the differences are best shown when you use the demo, because it's fully functional, it just has a limit on how many times it can be ran.

Another reason why I need Windows XP, I can't try this out. Anyway, does this software or any other have the capability of Firewire video input and playing that as background?
This looks really cool, and maybe worth a try.

yes, i set up a GL-1 with a tape in it and connected it to my powerbook via firewire and then opened the program and it ran like a charm. played the video back well. Very nice feature to be able to do this.

We too are using Song Screen V6Pro... it has served us well. However as we are looking to upgrade our presentation software we have downloaded liquid and media shout and easyworship and for some reason liquid does not work right so I have emailed them and their email has been full for two weeks... so I can not get any support for the product? this is frustrating at best. I am now leaning heavily toward Media shout but will leave the window open for a while longer as I continue trying out the other options. Liquid sounds good but I have not gotten my questions answered, the current version we are using has been faithful and easy to use but now I need answers to make a informed decision.

I am still trying to get a response via email from them so I can try the demo...

Leaning heavier toward Media Shout!
