Best background library

We are going to begin using moving backgrounds on a regular basis and want to purchase a small library to get started. I have been using backgrounds that I got from work but really should come clean and start paying for them. The ones I have came from the "editors tool kit" series. The pastor also would like a few scenic environmental types as well as the normal abstract colorfull patterns. I would like to support christian shop with our purchase.
Suggestions?

Shawn

Have you considered using our Media eXchange Center (MXC)? There are lots of things in there? And only $40 a year!

My favorite place lately (Besides, the MXC, of course ) is motionloops.com.

If you sign up for thier newsletter, you get a freebie weekly. And they have great deals on thier packages.

There are a few places that I pull from, including right on churchmedia.net. The small annual fee on this site has more than paid for itself plenty of times in both media as well as information I've gleaned over the years.

Free:
http://vimeo.com/ministryfx
http://zachfonville.com/
http://www.freemotionbackgrounds.com/

Pay:
http://www.worshiphousemedia.com
http://www.ignitermedia.com (I really like their Igniter Backs collections)
http://www.stockfootageforfree.com/ (not Christian but they have a lot of DVDs including motions) click the FREE DVDs link. You pay $8.41/per DVD for "shipping and handling"

Depending on what style of media you are after, http://playbackdrive.com/ can be a great option. No downloading, and you get a storage medium for your library too!

I love the playbackdrive idea. So, I assume if they are selling this drive they are giving the full rights to use their content?

I agree shift worship is great. Every week, the company adds new high-quality media files. Once downloaded the file belongs to your church. Basically, you have one year of unlimited access to the database. Have a blessed day!

I pitched the playbackdrive to my church administrator. I think he will go for it.
Thanks for all the input. This is a great resource!

Just check all the media that comes with it and see if you can use most of it. Hate to see you not be able to use all that... Spending at least $300 is a chunk of change compared to other things, especially when a new external hard drive runs less than $100 for 500Gig... Not putting down any excitement, just being a steward...

I'm pretty much with that, also.

I'd rather have an annual budget to spend to keep the collection fresh, than spend this kind of change on one purchase and not be able to buy anything for another 3 years. (I might be revealling too much of my budget, here, )

Also, I'd want to be able to back it up somewhere or copy it onto the projection computer and then put the external drive in a fireproof safe. Just sayin'
