If you install PowerPoint 2008 on the Mac, you can import his PowerPoint slides into ProPresenter. You lose the transitions, but since PowerPoint transitions are almost universally despised, consider that another benefit.

Is there an instant messenger that I can use between the windows PC we have at the stage and the Mac that we have in the booth?
I have never used an instant messenger before but think this would be a good tool for us.

Google talk, the im version, only works on pc. The video chat version works with both pc and OSX. I don't want video.

I'm wondering if there is an im program that can be used on the local network only between the two platforms? Rather than using the internet.

iChat on the Mac works seamlessly with Google chat. And of course, iChat works between Macs on a network without a chat server.

I cant find google chat only google talk. Do you mean gmail chat? You would have to sign up for and log into a gmail account, right? I was hoping for something that would not use the internet and would stay local on our network. My reasoning behind this is that our internet service is on occasion spotty and I don't want to be dependent on it.
Thanks

Yep, I meant gmail chat. You'd only need that for PCs to join in. Macs can iChat over LAN with no internet required.

But iChat can also work with Jabber, so you could install a Jabber server on a PC and go completely cross-platform LAN chat with no internet required.

Or, like us, you could just replace all your PCs with Macs and be done.

Another option, LibreOffice for the Mac, it reads all Powerpoint files without any problems.

Will that work with ProPresenter? I was under the impression that ProPresenter used the specific Microsoft libraries that are present when Microsoft PowerPoint is installed.
