Need a countdown program!

Well, we are planning to migrate from Media Shout 3.5 to ProPresenter for Windows once it is officially released, so then we can use ProPresenter's integrated countdown timers. However, we have need of a countdown timer now, and we can't wait until the official version is released.

Just to clarify, I'm not talking about the cheesy 5-minute countdowns that we would play on the front screens. I'm referring to a countdown that is only visible to people on the stage to help them know how much time they have left before they are done. It would be nice if I could customize it so that we can have several separate countdowns strung together for each portion of our service (music, message, etc.)

Any ideas? Thanks guys!

Worship Him! does this Now.

You can put a count down screen on the 3rd or choir screen.

I guess I should clarify...

I'm not looking to make a significant investment. We are already sold on ProPresenter and its merits; we simply need something in the interim until the Windows version is available.

I'm looking for something that could even be run separate from our main media presentation PC. If we have to use another computer to run this stage display, that's alright. I'm thinking probably less than a $50 investment, considering it will no longer be needed here in another month or so.

I found this countdown on Outside The Box Ministries... any thoughts:

Just for the reference of anyone who is finds this post in the future... we ended up going with the countdown from Outside The Box Ministries (see my earlier post for a link).

I like the countdown. Not bad for only $35. I don't like that you have to have some very specific settings on your secondary monitor to make it work right, though (800x600 resolution, oriented to the left of your primary display, offset by 800 pixels). Not difficult to get it set up, but it would annoy me if I were using a widescreen display or wanted a bit more resolution.

Good little countdown if you need something to help keep your pastor/worship team on a strict timeline for your worship services.

XNOTE is our preferred choice. you can change it to look any way you want and it has 2 position settings, double click it and it changes between the setup position and look and the presentation look. can also count up and down.

If you only need something full screen, online-stopwatch.com is the ticket. We use it on the rear screen all the time for seminars to help speakers keep on time.

It'll count up or down and is easy to set and use.
