Do you use mostly stills or motion backgrounds with your worship software?

I'm wondering if the majority of churches now, use stills or motion loops as backgrounds? How about your church? Do you invest more in stills or loops?

We use only stills. I personally find motion backgrounds annoying, and since I make the call on what we use - no motion.

We use mostly stills. I create a set of graphics for a series. We have some people who get motion sick so we try to keep the backgrounds as still as possible.

Primarily stills. Most of the motions we use are fairly subtle. As Chkurgrnd noted, for some songs we'll use a more active motion background to add some energy, but that's relatively rare.

We do 50/50. With average 4-5 songs we use the motions as more of an indicator going into sets. At the beginning of service (ie. Lord I Lift Your Name On High) - good for motion to get ppl energized and little more relaxed. Also moving from energy, we use them for whatever the song tells us what kind of a feeling to convey...

We use both. Quite often I'll layer a subtle motion background over a still to create some movement, but not a lot.

Since we do all contemporary worship, we use motions 100% of the time.

We use stills (well, a plain background to be honest) simply because we've never got ourselves organised enough to move beyond that.

However, one of our members recently made the point that is was actually a good thing as it was more easily readable and therefore more accessible for people who struggle to read off the screen. I think this is something that will vary between congregations depending on the demographic. It would be terrible if someone was excluded from worship because we were being too "flash" (as it is we provide a few paper copies of our music for a couple of the older folk who can't read the screen (but still need to sit at the back...)).

We use a combination, mostly loops in the Contemporary Service and stills in the more Traditional service.

We use both. For most of our songs, we use still backgrounds. I do like to through in a loop, 2 at the most, every once in a while, if it fits the song really well. We maybe use 3 or 4 loops a month. We project our words in the middle of the screen so it is sometimes difficult to find a loop that is not distracting.

We use stills on the side screens and motion on the center screen during worship.

Finding relevant worship loops that won't make people motion sick, AND still looks ok stretched horizontally on my orphan screen ... has not been easy.
