I've seen some comments that MACs looked too expensive, and that's why people were hesitant to deploy ProPresenter.

Apple has a new version of the MAC Mini that supports dual display operation, and therefore ProPresenter. This new machine has a MSRP of $599, OS included.

This means its possible to deploy ProPresenter for less than $1000. If you're replacing a PC with the Mac, a copy of Parallels or VmWare allows you to migrate the PC's OS and applications to the MAC, giving you a really powerful workstation.

This is not an attempt to reignite the MAC/PC argument of the past -- just to provide a datapoint people may not be aware of.

Are the new Mac Mini's still running intergrated graphics? That may be a small drawback for using one of those, but an iMac is great for pro presenter.

What I always say to people when doing the mac/pc comparison (i'm a mac user, part time windows tech) is that its worth pay a few extra $$$$ considering the amount of stress you'll save, and one you get over the fact that a mac is different, its a lot more intutive and more plesant to use. I dont want to turn this into a mac/pc debate, thats my opinion on the issue.

Anyone see that iWorship software. It had some potential I think, but the developer has given up!

We went from PPT straight to Song Show Plus. We have upgraded every time one has come out. What blows my mind are the features i find every week that i did not know were there. I like to tell people it is as simple or complex as you want to make. I have never actually run any other worhip software but i don't care to either. Being able to control everything )including ligths, now) from one interface is incredible.

I have become convinced that the reason MAC's run so well is because they are built by parts all designed for the specific machine and model.
You don't get a lot of choices.

I've seen VISTA run better on a MAC then on a PC

It's just that MACs cost more (but as their user base grows I do expect the price to drop).

We're Easy Worship users and love it. But I voted MediaShout because it has some additional features. The UI is a little clunky (having tabs named Lyra and Bob and the like) but I really like how it works. It has some nice features - including the ability to just throw in a text item.

But for us, Easy Worship is so easy to use and it does whatever we need it to do.

I currently operate MediaShout, and I've really enjoyed it. However, I read this forum about an hour ago and I decided to download the trial version of SongShowPlus.

I think I just fell in love.

I am absolutely amazed with all the possibilities of things you can do. I really like all the features that it has for editing background display properties.

So, to answer the question: Which software would I like to use? Song Show Plus! Now if only my church would give me $500!

I'm pretty happy with Media Shout, although I have not tried any others.

I’ve heard good remarks from some users of Easy Worship software that this application is more compatible. It loads very fast; it takes about 10 seconds to load. It can offer clean cross fades and smooth video with up to 105 transitions and its quality of output is very clean and crisp over any background and performance stands out.
