E-vites from webpage

I had a leader of our women's ministry ask if we could setup E-vites to distribute and for others to distribute and was curious about any direction to go on this. I am not sure if I should do something like an email template that opens up your default email application or if I should make it some type of HTML code they can copy and paste into an email, or if there are better options. Currently our website is built in edirecthost.com's website builder but I am learning and building one in Wordpress as well for a switch in the nearish future. I am just starting in website design but can follow technical directions. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

I would check out the addthis plugin for wordpress. it allows people to share a link to the page they are viewing via popular social media sites. People are much more likely to view something this way than via an html email.

Awesome I will definently check that out. What about outside of wordpress is it best just to setup an invite page and provide a link to it for people to send out?

Also I do kind of like the option of having a template setup that when they click on the "invite people" button/link it opens up their email editor and has all the information ready, is this difficult to do?
