Media Team Web Site

Have any of you guys created a web site specifically for your media team?

I'm in the process of doing one for our team that will host schedules, manuals, diagrams...all that fun stuff. I also plan on hosting most of the media content for our main site on it. (Quicktime streaming, videos Podcasts, photo galleries)

Just wondering if y'all had any tips on what to put on one or how you utilize it effectively.

Thanks.

We talked about it, but ended up just using the free file sharing from www.dropbox.com

Hmm. That's a pretty good idea.

We also use dropbox.com for lots of stuff. But if you want to look at a church media website done right, check out BuckHead Production.

That's where I got the inspiration from. We're in the process of converting LPs, cassettes, VHS, Beta, DVDs...all into a format for online viewing. I'm a bit of a history guy, and I know that all that history is just rotting on the shelves. I want to preserve it before it goes away.

Anyways, I figured a more media related site would be appropriate for it. As well as gearing the team information more web oriented.

We have a Wiki that keeps track of calendars, checklists, an index of stock footage, long term projects (both engineering as well as production), preaching schedule, tips/training and volunteer contact information.

Since a number of things on the site are "private" in nature, we haven't made it publicly accessible, but having looked at the Buckhead site I can see the value of making some of the material public...
