outsourcing website design

We have had several people take turns at doing website design. And though one or two have shown promise, for the most part, they are just so plain. Had someone that told me of a site that specializes in church website design. The website is www.thechurchsitedesigner.com. Has anyone else had any experience with hiring a company to design your website? And have you used a company that specializes in church websites?

There are actually several people on CMN who do web design. I think you can do better than the price the website you mentioned offers.

Let me know if I can be of any help.

If you can specify in details your needs with regard to content, graphics, management functionality, training, and time frame, I can give you a simple quote or some ideas for people to turn to.

Although the web designers on CMN are more accountable than most, web designers generally have a reputation for taking a year and a day to do a small task or they might be missing in action 90% of the time. An in-house web team is what it takes to get the desired result. Nobody else can express the vision of the ministry through the site the same way that the members of your church can.

Even if an outside vendor or consultant does the actual coding, setup, etc. someone from your church has to be part of the process and the must be someone who knows or can learn how to update the content.

Might I suggest that you can get some web training at the convention? Maybe even do a sitdown with some of us there to help you get started?
