How to do lower 3rd lyrics with upstream video mix

With your videonics you could use your T bar with a horizontal transition effect. Manually move the transition to have your mixed camera feed in the upper 2/3 and the text/lyrics feed in the lower 1/3. You will have to plan your camera shots "high" and your text feed "low".

It'd be much easier to set up your lower third as a keyed source. Just set the background up as the keyed color, and then create the lower third in whatever colors/styles you like on the same slide, in such a way that it won't be keyed out by your keyer.

We do lower thirds and half screen graphics with live IMAG all of the time. I'll get some pics or screen grabs for you from this weekend's service. We downstream it over the live with a graphic behind the text.

Ok, thank you all for your help!!!

On keying the text, how do you get the videonics to display it on the lower third part of the screen? Just make it on the slide like that?

Yep. Just position it on the slide where ever you want it and then key out the background. Same can be done with a 1/3 graphic... i.e. lower 1/3, right 1/3, left 1/3.

Sorry it took me a while to post these, Karen. You know how the Christmas whirlwind goes, right?

Here are two examples of lyrics over IMAG. In the first we have lower thirds over IMAG and in the second we have roughly half-screen lyrics and half screen IMAG. Hope these help.

Here's ours. We do a "L"-shaped keyhole, basically because we use EasyWorship, which puts title and publishing info at bottom. Ours isn't quite half screen. Soft border between keyhole and live video. We use MX70.
