| record and playback for venue Hi all, We have been doing a venue for about a year. Right now we record onto DVD during first service then playback in the venue during second. I record the feed off our switcher (Edirol LVS-800) and record to a main and backup DVD. About every 4 weeks or so we get skips and stutters in the DVD. I have a backup so I'm covered there and if both DVD's fail I can switch to a live feed of second service. (Not a great option because they are never in time. We had to go this a couple weeks ago and the audience heard about 10 minutes of the sermon again. ) So I've been asked if we can make this more consistent. What are you all using to record and playback in your venues? Thanks! Please keep in mind I need to be able to use my SD switcher! |

| We are using a Panasonic DMR-EZ48VP-K recorder. However, our playback the next day is on a Touchtown System (the kind of DVD carousel used in many hotels for continuous information and movies. We also had trouble with this playback (freezes, skips, jitter etc.) We changed from the 2hr record mode to 8hr mode and the problem seemed to go away. Just a thought! Sax Wyatt |
