| PTZ Control for around 130 bucks I found a solution to the old problem of different ptz cameras and the different formats. We have some ptz security cameras and some of the sony evi-d30 cameras. The problem is in the past you would have a ptz joystick then the sony cameras you would have to manualy tilt zoom with a mouse. What you need to do to control the sony cameras with the same joystick is this. Buy a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro USB Joystick under $30, 3 axis joystick Buy http://xpadder.com/ around $10-this maps the key strokes to the control software using the joystick. http://www.serialporttool.com/PTZ.htm $69 -30 day free trial The ptz control software. Then you would need a rs232 to rs485 adapter a few bucks on ebay. Serial to 2 wire. If you do not have enough serial ports, you would need to get a pci serial port, normally they have to serial on the pci card. All you have to do is map the key strokes from there page and in the options tell it to use that file. http://www.serialporttool.com/sptblog/?p=172 pm if you need help, but it will control just about any ptz cameras out there. |
