Cross Connecting PC to switcher

We have an HP PC in our sound/projector room and would like to connect the output to our video switcher in our video room. This will require about 75 feet of cable. What HP PC video card would enable us to switch to the PC/projector image while recording the service onto DVD? Thanks

Hi FBCWS,
Just have a few questions to clarify your usage.
What sort of video switcher (brand and model) do you have?
I'm guessing you want to record the output from the video switcher,
which would be a mixture of live camera and powerpoint/worship software?

another way of doing it might be to use the regular vga output of the pc (assuming you have a dual vga card in the first place) to feed a switcher scaler that also allows for an sd video input, and scales that input up to the pc and/or projection resolution you're using. It just needs to have an additional downscaler to output simultaneously to sd tv for the dvd feed.

Hmmm...might need two different devices, after all-but regardless, this would give you a better signal at the projection end (if you're using one) and allows you to keep your projection from the screen at a higher resolution than you'd get from straight down scaling of the pc.
