My new YouTube workflow...

OK, after trying a bunch of different ways of exporting video out of Final Cut Pro and getting it into YouTube, I have a new workflow. It isn't he fastest or the prettiest, but it gets the best results.

Step 1: Export out of FCP (however you want, just make sure it will work with Step 2)
Step 2: Import into iMovie '08.
Step 3: "Share" to "YouTube".

I didn't keep the other versions of the video on YouTube for your comparison, but this to me made the best bang for your buck. It is quite softer than the other ways of doing it, but you trade the softness for quality and pixelation.

OK, my words are rambling because it is late. You try this workflow out, and tell me if it works for you.

Oh, and:

Matthew

That was cute, loved the video! As far as the workflow, I don't have a Mac so can't try iMovie but I see that Premiere Elements 4 has the share to YouTube option.

I've just started uploading our sermons to YouTube. I export the whole 45 minute sermon to Compressor, and before I submit it, I set the in and out points to the first 10 minutes (to get under the 10 minutes per video restriction). Then I copy and past the first one into the same tab and repeat the process until I have created 4 or 5 Ten minute segments. After naming them properly, I click submit and Compressor makes all of my mp4's ready for upload.

OK, not enough posts to give the URL. If you would like to see it, go to Youtube and search for the "baylifechurch" channel.
