Adobe Premiere Pro

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone has had this issue with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 version. When I get ready to render a video and choose Adobe Media Encoder, it shuts down, telling me a serious error has occured. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this? I have a support question in to Adobe and I've checked the forums but didn't see any problems like this.

Windows XP Professional
2.26 processor
2 gig of memory
Radeon X300 Video Card

Thanks for any advice that you can give.

Had the same problem with Photoshop CS 2 - fixed it by running a registry cleaner and then re-installing.

Have you installed any other "video" software? You may have potentially screwed up a codec or something.

yes I do have other video software on this computer, but I can't take it off because I use it. I'm getting quite frustrated with the .dll codes, my laptop started acting up because it didn't like some software that I put on it. All the software was from very reputable companies too.

Is there a registry cleaner that you would recommend?

I have CS2, so maybe this isn't the same, but on the CD if you start the install process you will be given the option to "repair" the installation. This might replace any .dlls that may have been changed by another application's installation. Worth trying anyways.

I think I tried this but will look again to make sure. Thanks for your help.

Try changing the resolution of your output. Make it 640x480 and see if all goes well. I've had issues in the past when using odd ball resolutions, not exactly like your issues.

As I mentioned above, try using AE to render.
If that doesn't work, re-install Shared/ Core Components.
