| So, the background image is centered? What happens if you try other content like a video or just a still image? It would be better to use a Distribution Amplifier or a powered signal splitter than just a "Y" adapter. That would cause a loss of signal strength. But I don't know if that would cause the words to shift.

| I will double check on the video side, but as far as I can remember it only does this from the computer, powerpoint or easy worship or media shout. We have tried two different computers with same result... Both projectors are identical in having the problem... we have a monitor in the booth that receives this same image and it is clear and properly centered. Although the Y is there our image is sharp and clear, it just is just shifted to the right? I am now wondering if it could somehow be a cable issue or something along that lines... Another thought has been (I was not involved in the original set up) I don't know if there is any distribution amps or through amps in the ceiling or not? Could an amp cause this issue? Have not had an opportunity to get the lift out and start chasing wire yet... James

| My first guess is the projectors are mis-scanning the signal from the computer. Do they have a "automatic PC adjust" button? Try pressing that. Our children's minister had that same problem after setting up a projector and screen in our newly-built children's room. He set up the projector and screen to the mis-scanned computer signal, not the full panel. He later pressed the Auto PC Adjust button on the remote, the projector started scanning it correctly, and suddenly a third of the image is spilling onto the wall around the screen. |

| Also try to make sure the computer resolution matches the projectors native resolution. Is the monitor the same aspect ratio as the projector? If not your computer may be reading the EDID Extended display identification data info from the monitor and that is causing an issue. Try unplugging the monitor and only use the projectors and hit auto PC. If that works ok then in order to use both monitors and projectors that are different aspect ratios you sould need to install a scaler before your Y or D/A. |

| Ok, guys... The auto pc isn't doing anything, however I have gone in and manually changed the aspect ratio settings and it has helped (not fixed completely). It does not seem to matter if the secondary monitor is inline or not... Another issue with this system is a strange green glow that when the screen should be black shows on these two projectors starting from the top of the screen and fades to black at the bottom. I have been through all the projector settings with no success... The green is also visable in normal backgrounds and slides... The green glow is not on the booth monitor... Thanks for your continued help...

| I found the video distributor/ amplifier... when I unplug the outputs both projectors continue to show the strange green glow... I've been through the remote settings multiple times and don't find anything that may be causing this. Projectors are both Mitsubishi XL30U

| I have a similar issue... but 3 projectors are getting an indentical VGA feed out of a dist. amp. - front left project : shifted about 20px to the right. - front right projector : shifted about 30px to the right. - rear projector : right on the money It about time to gut the AV booth and clean up the cabling that has happened over the past 5yrs, so I will reply once thats done... if we corrected the issue. |

| Actually that is the odd part of this whole story. Technically we have a computer monitor, and three projectors on this line. The monitor and the back projector is fine, no issues... The two front of house projectors are the issue. I have made some changes that seem to have fixed my right side shift issue to an acceptable level (though if you are looking for it you can see the shift still)... The other issue I'm really wanting to get to the bottom of now is the green glow. When we have a moment in our service that we need to have all lights off there are those two screens glowing green... This issue happens with no input to the projectors being sent. The green comes as soon as the projectors warms up and is there until you shut them down. No settings seem to make a difference and the manual has no suggestions. But for both projectors to display this even when they aren't hooked together is rather odd in my opinion... Could the green glow be coming from some sort of interference? A powered line laying across the cables? I really don't have a clue? Our lift is rented out so I can not get up there to unplug each projector from all sources yet, but I suppose that would be next...

| If it were a broadcast camera, my suspect would be the green pedestal being misadjusted, making black be biased to green. The fact that you have two projectors exhibiting this same behavior is interesting. Induced interference wouldn't be on my list, since there's no difference between the Green coax and the others in the cable/bundle, no reason a bias would appear on it and not the others, especially on two projectors. I'm still drawn to color and sync adjustments on the projectors. I've seen some projectors that have a "Greenboard" mode for projecting onto green chalkboards. Perhaps yours have a similar mode that could be turned on? Or otherwise, the color, tint, etc. controls could be vastly out of place. For your image shift, are you feeding the projectors their native resolution and frame rate? It looks like it's XGA, 1024x768, native, and quite old in projector years. |
