You might try buying a reconditioned machine as well to save yourself some denars.

All I use is PowerPoint XP...We don't have Easy Worship yet...my laptop doesn't support Duel Monitors...but I do agree that the presenters files were huge digital photos...thus the delays in advancing the slides. I will start educating people within our church about reducing their image sizes before inserting them into PowerPoint for their presentations.

Due to the limitations of the Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer (which EW 2.2 uses to play PP), there will be some advanced items from a PowerPoint XP presentation that will not display as intended, BUT with the soon to be released EW v2.3 (which is on its last leg of beta testing) this should be corrected... it will allow the user to play PP shows from the copy of PP installed on the projection PC (totally bypassing use of the MS PowerPoint Viewer).

That's great, I'm looking forward to the day I can purchase Easy Worship and still be able to use PowerPoint XP for Announcements and presentations.

Before you buy a radeon, (esp. if you want text overlay), I would reiterate a prev. post: EW (Jeff Taylor) didn't like the radeon cards, didn't get clean (fast) frame rates on video transitions and the like. The list quoted above is a little old (in that in mentions MX440 cards). If you're buying a new card AND will be using EW, just buy a Nvidia.

Read this post in their support board.

Ensure that it has a dual RAMDAC (basically dual processors) and that the 2nd port is accelerated/supports Direct X. I have a couple of the ti2400s, with dual displays and AGP cards. Nvidia seems to be the best IMHO (esp. wrt EW).

Since you're spec'ing a desktop, you can put anything you want in it!!
