New LEDko

So here is our new LEDko fixture. It is on the left, with a traditional Source4 of the same beam angle on the right. The camera auto adjusted the color temp to the LED (which shows you how much "whiter" the LED unit is).

The dimming curve on a scale of 1-10 is about an 8 (and I am very picky). It works well at any timing, I can't make it choppy if I try. It almost exactly mimics an incandescent curve until you hit about 1.5%-2%.

We are sending it out on a demo tomorrow, I will try and get the person demoing to post here after they look at it.

Here is the photo. We haven't put a photometer on it, but to the naked eye, it is brighter and the field is more even.

Of course, you do have to contend with a completely different color spectrum (with spikes in strange places) so you have to adjust how you look at gel, but overall we are very, very happy with how the unit looks/handles/works.

I'll take some pics of the unit in use at church and give a mini review on it after trying it out.

I can't post specific prices, but it is about 1/2 of the Coemar LEDko and 1/3 the price of the Source4 LED.

I will post the manual as soon as I make it.

So after using the LEDko Mike sent me for a few months now, I more than love it! Our church is mobile, so we have to setup and tear down each week. This makes lighting a challenge as I can't setup on stage to do proper front wash of the worship team/pastor. So I setup lights at the back of the church but I had the challenge of being 50' away from my target.

Mike suggested I try out their new LEDko's and it more than did the job at 50'. The one unit overpowered 4 of the old parcans I had been using for the last while, when I turn on the LEDko you can't even see the light from the old cans. Unfortunately it was too bright haha, with no DMX control I wasn't able to dim the light at all - and because its a 'whiter white' it looked a bit awkward on the stage. So after some googling I found that LEE filters makes an LED conversion filter to warm up the light a bit. I bought a sheet of those and tried it out, sure enough it worked just like they told me it would. Because the color was so natural looking I don't need to dim it and the one light is doing 100 times more than all of my old ones put together.

I love the unit, and our church is in the process of purchasing more. They are so light compared to the old LEKO units as well, I used to hate setting them up for our Christmas play but this year I am ready haha. Mike was also great to deal with and was more than patient as we ran into some hiccups during the demo process. I was especially thankful being a first time buyer as well as a Canadian buyer.

I was going to post pictures but I haven't made 15 posts yet

The first is with the filter.

The third if 4 500W PARs with the LEDko.

You can post a street price or list price just not your price.

Also do you have a make/model?
