I am by no means an expert but ...

Are these all in slave mode or individually addressed? If not try the 'other mode'

Since it's the last fixture in the chain ... is the control line properly terminated?

Pete beat me to the punch.

All I would add is that 20 minutes is a LONG time to let any kind of devices cycle independently and expect tem to stay in sync. I'd probably switch modes slightly every few minutes to keep them all in sync.

I have them indivudually addressed because we would like to do different things with each one at times.. I do have a DMX terminator on the last fixture

I am also by no means a lighting professional..lol... What i do is save this colorfade mode as a scene on our DMX controller... i select the scene and its all good.. after some minutes it goes out of sync so then i select another scene then go back to see if that would reset them.. but it doesnt help.. it only works when i erase the scene and start from scratch every time

I am a lighting professional and I have no idea. Sorry, wish I could be more help. I don't usually run lights in modes like that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this "Color Fade" mode sounds like it's built into the lights (some sort of preset) and/or with your board you just bring the certain DMX channel up to a set value and it triggers it?

If that's the case and they're losing sync, it's probably an error in the fixture(s) and isn't fixable.

Instead, try creating your own scene with your DMX Operator. I'm not sure how advanced you can go with it, but you should be able to at least program a simple color chase, which won't get out of sync.
