| Back light and Top light pictures I've always enjoyed looking a pictures of raw lighting. Seeing the effects of back lights, side lights, top lights, front lights, all those different angles. I love seeing a picture of just one person with light on them. I enjoy seeing pictures of entire scenes as well, but I like seeing the effects one light can have more. So, what I did was take a few pictures myself. I ordered some gels for my church recently and when I got them in, I decided to try them out. I ordered four sheets of back lights, and six sheets for front light. Here's what I ordered: Backlight: R10 R58 R82 R332 Frontlight: R3204 R60 R11 If you want to see the pictures of these gels used as back light and top light, I have them hosted over on my tumblr. http://thetylerherronstages.tumblr.com/ I'll be posting some more pictures shortly of the effects the front lights have, and I might take some pictures of side light as well. Enjoy! -Tyler Herron P.S. Yeah, the "model" in those pictures is me. |

| Good job. Back when I was in college that is how I learned color theory. It is nice to get in the classroom and we spent an entire semester on it, but it is another thing to actually get out there and see what each one does. Luckily as an undergrad I had access to a moving light lab, and a conventional lighting rig with unlimited gels. I would say that for me, in my career, color has been the most important tool for me.
