I'm struggling here. This sounds so far from contemporary English for me, yet the whole idea of having "an interest" - like an investment share - in Jesus's blood is so strong. However, I want that thought accessible to folks who wouldn't catch it from these words and phrasing. Thoughts?
This is one of my favorite songs. I have been working to properly translate it into ASL (American Sign Language) in a way that accurately conveys the meaning, while keeping it as close as possible to the original song. This is a pretty hard song to translate like that. In the particular line above, I have the same struggle as you. I tried to use "part" or "share" (ASL signs) and am not satisfied that these words (whether in English or in ASL) really, truly gets the point across, although they do make it more accessible. They don't work at all in ASL, but in English it might satisfy your requirements. In ASL, I have to rewrite the entire phrase to get the point across in an accessible form and to make it fit in the song. I won't try to type it here since it wouldn't make sense to most here.

Related to this, I have found a workable contemporary musical setting as part of the Indelible Grace project.
