| First Drum Set used. I am looking for some recommendations for a used drum set that is good for beginner. I'm not really looking to buy right now but if I happen to see something then I will have your suggestions in the back of my head. Thanks. |

| Ludwig Accent CS would be my recommendation. These set's are built tough and with the right heads most people can't tell the difference between them and most high dollar sets. Lately it seems just about any kit you get will be a solid investment but you will more than likely need to add new heads and hardware. The first thing you should learn when you get a kit is how to tune your heads and figure out the resonant frequency(note) of your toms. I can't tell you how many pros don't actually know how to tune up a kit. It's such a beautiful thing when all the elements come together but start with the basics. Check this site out for loads of info and to get a good basics and such. http://drumjunction.com/cheap_drum_sets.html crt
