Yeah, they do a 20 minute setup in this space, so I am pretty sure they don't let anything cool off or warm up (there is no heat or AC on until people start arriving either, the conditions at this space are terrible).

Yeah, I leave my moving lights in my warehouse, but my warehouse gets better air circulation than a truck and is at least a little insulated. Plus moving lights are used to the high temps. I leave speakers and processing gear there too. But all my consoles and projectors and computers are in a climate controlled environment. In May we are moving to a climate controlled storage space where everything will be stored though. But I kind of baby my gear I guess.

My thought was that the driver could reach into the truck, put the two projectors and the sound console on the lift gate and roll them inside before he got in his car and left.

That shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.

What about adding heat and moisture control to the truck/trailer. I have heard of this but know nothing of it myself.

PS This came about because a company asked me before they would RMA a piece of equipment for a client how the equipment was stored.
You don't need to be in a particularly hot climate either. I used to work for a courier company, if it was 30C (86F) outside, it was 40C(104F) in the warehouse and 50C (122F) in the trailers, and that is a trailer that was vented during the day, leaving equipment in a truck that is parked most of the week, it could easily get to 150F in there. It also takes a lot longer for equipment to cool down then it does to warm up. Although an issue with cold, you need equipment in cases, the cases need to be put in a room and left for 3-4 hours to warm up, otherwise you will have condensation issues.

One trick, if you have a straight truck, with a roll up or barn type doors at the back, that are the only doors, park it so that the doors are against a wall, makes it a lot harder for someone to break in.
