Record Sermons Directly to MP3

Hey folks!
I am looking for a recording solution that saves to MP3 when done with the sermon, so I can upload to site immediately.

We currently record our services to a CD Recorder where the CD is being written during the sermons, and then when the message is over, we will press the finalize button and the CD will be burned and complete within one minute.

We also record to Audacity, and then export to MP3, and then upload that MP3 file to our website.

I'm looking for a solution (software) that will save the file to MP3 as soon as the service is over, so I don't have to spend the 5 or 10 minutes to export to MP3.

One idea I thought of is to use a digital audio recorder, such as a Zoom H1, and then when recording is over the MP3 file is there, but I want to have software on our iMac that does this. When I press stop recording, there is a MP3 file ready to listen or upload immediately. I do not need to be able to edit the file, so Audacity is nice, but a bit overkill. The software needs to be for a Mac.

Ideas?

There are 3 apps in the Mac App store. Google found "About 11,500,000 results".

If you are trying to be helpful, can you provide specifics? Otherwise a comment about google's results is taken as sarcastic and arrogant.

Thanks!

We are feeding the iMac with a stereo RCA to 3.5mm cable into the line-in jack from a matrix on the console.

I haven't used this, but it looks like it'll work for what you want.

mac,softpedia,com/get/Audio/Audio-Recorder.shtml

I'm new so it's not letting me post urls, so replace the commas with periods and that should work

Let me know if that helps

Nate

We record directly to a mp3 player that has a line-in. Then just plug it into the pc, drag the file across, and upload. Very simple solution.

Reaper can be configured to record directly to mp3. It's a free program to try (unlimited trial time) and costs $60 for non-profits. Its an extremely capable multi-track recorder. Works on both PC and Mac.

I use it each week to record 24 tracks for over an hour. Haven't had a hiccup in over two years.

the website is: reaper.fm

Audacity is probably the way to go as far as software is concerned. You could use Garage Band on your Mac, but then you would have to convert to MP3. I use a Zoom H1 plugged into the sound system to record our services - works like a million bucks! You might consider plugging the Zoom in place of your CD recorder. I paid about $115 for the Zoom... a very worthy investment!

Hi BP. We record using a Magix product, though Audacity is better (and free). We use a RCA "Y" cable to connect the tape out of our sound board to the microphone port in the sound card in our PC, and away we go. I have been doing it that way for 5 or 6 years. Very easy.

I suggest you "amiersoft software" , this is what you are looking. It store your data in MP3 format and then do your stuff what you want. For any query revert back/
