Would the cameras mentioned be adequate for live streaming as well?

Media Ministry Startup

Greetings, everyone! The ministry I serve is interested in "easing" into video production and media ministry. We don't have a lot of money, but I do have some basic experience with editing, production, etc. from my days producing TV in college.

Initially, we would like to do some recording of sermons, vignettes, commercials, and live streaming. Eventually, we would like to do a television broadcast locally.

My question: with a limited budget (i.e. $2k or less), what kind of new/used professional grade camera should we invest in that will allow us to grow and learn a few things before spending a lot of money? We want great quality on a shoestring budget. Our emphasis for now will be video production and streaming. Please advise.

What are the main differences between the XL1 and the XL2? Can they be used for live streaming? Are there newer cameras out that may be a better investment?
