Discount Software for Churches

Hello again! I've got another question. By the way, I appreciate everyones help on the VOX and order of service posts. You guys really helped. Anway, the Church needs Frontpage 2003 and Office 2003. Are there any kinds of non-profit discounts the church can take advantage of? I am still a student but am working for the Church every other weekend. Is it legal to purchase Academic software by me but turn around and use it for church-use only? I asked one Academic software site and they said it could not be used for commercial purposes. But churches are not commerical are they? Just wondering if anyone knows any tid-bits. Thanks so much!

Consistent Computer Bargains is where I purchase all our Microsoft products from. Great deals for non-profits

A lot of software companies have charitable organization discounts. Unfortunately many of them also make you certify that you are politically correct - this may not be possible for most churches. We did find one software house that we ended up using - full charitable discounts on all MS products (many others too) and no sell outs. Our 40 node LAN is for the first time completely legal with licenses for everything. It's really a great deal with rediculously low prices.

Software House International

I think you would have to contact someone in customer service - I couldn't find any info on the web site.

Best regards,
PCH
