Sure, that's possible. Make sure you take the DVD recorder for a test-drive first. Cheaper models don't do a very good job with their on-the-fly video compression.

Does the BlackMagic video recorder work with a Dell Windows XP PC? If not, then what is the best way to bring the video/audio in from the video camera on a Windows PC? Just looking for a camera/cable that will support the dual output to a DVD burner while using our current Windows desktop PC.

No, it's Mac OSX only. We don't use PCs in our media department any more so I don't know what would work on them.

When I started "taping" our services (audio only), I start the recording sometime before the service starts, then quit after the end of the service. I find it easier to edit after, only because it lessens the chance that the audio guy (me) forgets and were 5 minutes into the sermon before I hit the button.
