| Great to hear! How does Final Cut Express compare to Pro? So the general consensus is FCP, Vegas, Premiere, and Avid are the "Good" pieces of software? Are these all considered to be "Professional" Level software Does that make them more complicated, are they easy to learn? |

| I think all would do a good job for you. Vegas is very easy to handle, but like Cory said, not many pro level people use it. I'd also look at hardware compatibility with Avid. I think it's a little more stingy on what you can and can not use. I'd look at youtube videos of all of these things in action. They should have some clips on their sites as well that demonstrate key features of the product. Also, if you can, download a demo of the software and work with it.

| Okay so we ended up purchasing an expandable Rain computer. I am wondering about video software again, and I'm wondering do any of the PC software capture and edit in the same program? Also whats the best capture device for doing that? Especially with eventual video streaming in mind. I know with Premiere Pro edits and you can use On Location for capturing, so given those what are the capabilities with the other software out there? |
