What to allow and not allow on presentations PC

I have been put in charge of the multimedia at church. I have installed a new PC for use with Easyworship. All seems to work fine. I did notice that the person running the software this week prior to practice was checking her Facebook account. I know that may not cause an issue but I have mixed emotions about using that machine for anything other than what it is there for.

I am curious as to what others have as a policy for use of the presentation computer.

I wouldn't allow personal browsing. Facebook is one of the prime entry points for malware, anymore.

We have the operator account locked down as a standard user account and the password for the admin account is only know to a handful of us. And we only use it when we need to (e.g. software updates). Most of the time, we use the standard operator account.

One time we had one of our more knowledgeable operators download a different video player onto the projection computer and ended up downloading a virus, causing us to need to rebuild the entire PC the day before church.

So we restrict admin access and discourage personal use.

This software $34.00 http://www.softforyou.com/ip-index.html Will allow access to only a list of approved sites (What we do) or everything but some sites, and also within a time frame. It by default filters porn and the like.

Is there not an issue with Easyworship not working properly if not using an admin account?

Don't know. I use SongShow Plus which has instructions on what permissions need to be applied to run as a user. I didn't know if EasyWorship had any such restrictions or work arounds.
