help for mac im from a church ranging 200-300 congergations in the Philippines and i just need some advice on developing the media ministry in our church. its just me and my team are very enthusiastic on this ministry. we want to advance...but we have very very low budget. we use macbook and pro presenter for our lyric presentation and our plans are to setup video cameras around and confidence monitors around. even if its only low quality... i have an rca switcher. and my problem is i want to insert a video in on this mac through rca so i can place multipecams. is it possible to have an firewire port converted to rca? that way i can place the cameras around like 3-4 video cameras. tnx for ur help brothers in christ

btw we use our own budget for the help on this church. we are just students by the way. i have a usb video dvd maker that makes inputs video cameras via rca on mac but wont recognize on pro presenter and mediashout so i decided to find a plug for firewire..

Not all USB inputs are the same The problem is with your USB adaptor you are using. I would NOT recommend using Firewire as all Firewire video encoders have a bad delay and as such you would have a 1/4 second or more lag. The USB input your DVD creator software came with does encoding on the fly that is proprietary to that software. The Daystar XLR8 ProView, on the other hand, shows up as a normal Quicktime component input. It also has very little latency. It is available from Renewed Vision.
