Do you know how to build one? Do you have a domain name? What do you want to accomplish with your site?

Website Recommendation

Check into artistrymarketing.com

I'm replacing our current website and got a content mgmt system with one of their templates. Very high quality and I'm thrilled with all the features they have and how easy it is to work with.

If you're somewhat technically knowledgable, check out Drupal (http://www.drupal.org) as a content management system and Site Ground (http://www.siteground.com) as your web host.

I would think the monthly hosting fee is the ongoing cost. That and any content management fees. The larger numbers for 8 pages would be for the programming/set-up of said pages. Likely that'd be a one-time fee.

Thumbs up

I'm a computer tech & can do a lot with computers but I'm not good with web pages which I'm working on that weak link. My church was interested in getting a website for our church because it will cause more attention for our church. Eventually I want to put Podcasts, church events, etc. I saw the website for Jeff Kapon church & that's what I'm looking for.

Take a look at Lifewaylink.com. It is run by Lifeway and is for churches/associations.

I work with Readyhosting, $100.00 PER YEAR for 100 Gigabytes of space (that's a lot of pages), 1000 Gi,gabytes of Bandwidth, 5 mysql databases and your own e-mail server. Not too many places that can give you a price that cheap. PM if you're interested.

If I had to do it again...
-http://www.artistrymarketing.com/ does great work, I've heard great stuff from some friends who are using it.
-http://www.discoversky.com/ I like them better than artistry marketing but that's my $.02.

Yes they do cost more than a lot of other options but they'll help you do your website right the first time. You are paying for the design, cms and new features they'll roll out over time.
